Currently based in Big Rapids, Laura Taylor is a classically trained cellist who has performed in Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

She plays weddings throughout Northwest Lower Michigan, and has recently performed ceremonies in Big Rapids, Reed City, Canadian Lakes, Manton, Pierson, Chase, Allendale, Traverse City, and Cadillac.

Laura has 20 years of professional experience including orchestras such as:

• Garden State Philharmonic
• Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea
• Kalamazoo Symphony
• South Bend Symphony
• Southwest Michigan Symphony

Her teachers include former members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra, as well as a founding member of The Merling Trio.  She studied at The Hartt School of Music and Western Michigan University.

For 20 years she has provided music for weddings, both as a soloist and chamber musician. Laura’s extensive experience with ceremony music allows you to relax and enjoy your wedding day with the unique and elegant sound of a solo cello.
